Please make sure your child is using the work plan. 

• Are they crossing off the jobs that do not apply to them? A

• Are they checking off the jobs as they turn them in? 

• Can they tell you if they've picked up their independent work?

• Can they show you the IXL topic they say they worked on?

• Did they turn in the assignment on Google Classroom so that the teacher knows it is done?

• Did they log in to Google Classroom to see the comments their teacher left on the assignment?

• Are they doing the work and turning it in to the correct teacher with their first and last name on the assignment?

• Are they writing down three priority jobs DAILY for Mustang time/homework?

The PTA is doing their Magical Coin Quest (formerly PennyWars/Coin Races) this week. They have split our class up into Green 1 and Green 2, saying that we are too big in number, which ultimately pits us against one another, along with the other classes. We don't want to focus our coin strategy against one another. We ARE NOT two separate classes. We are one amazing class of 7th and 8th graders with four teachers, and we are a collective unit. We fundraise together. We support/fundraise as one giant class. The primary goal is to raise funds for the PTA, which can then be used to support classrooms and the school. Let's focus on working as one collective team. The event starts first thing Monday morning, so bring in these coins/bills to put in our Gren 1 & Green 2 containers:

1. Dollars (worth 150 points each)

2. Pennies (worth 100 points each)

3. Quarters (worth 50 points each)

Let's bring our nickels and dimes into the classroom, where we will pool them together to strategize on how to play the negative coins. Don't have coins or bills lying around?
