Classroom Management

Each day, your student starts their day with 15 classroom points. When they make a choice that “breaks” one of our classroom rules, their individual star is moved down to 10 points. If this happens, your student has been given a warning. If their star is moved down for a second time, resulting in 5 points, your student will either return to the classroom, or perform “community service” during a portion of their lunch recess. If (and we don’t expect this to happen too often) your child’s star is moved to 0 points, contact will be made with Mr. Boothby and/or parents/guardians. Ongoing issues may also warrant further parent-teacher communication such as e-mail, phone calls, and/or conferences.
