Homework

Read, Read, Read. Children enjoy hearing stories as well as reading them whether they read the words or make up their own story taking cues from the illustrations. We ask that you read to your child or your child reads to you for a minimum of 20 minutes a night.

Students will be asked to take work home only when they are not able to finish the day's assignments in class. All work is due before lunch on Friday. If it is not completed before lunch they will use Fun Friday time to finish it.  If your child has not completed all of his/her work by Friday afternoon, they will have weekend homework. They are to do the homework over the weekend and return it completed on Monday morning. We encourage the development of time management skills in order to finish all assignments during the work periods provided each day.

If your child will not be at school please let us know so that we can gather their work, and you can pick up the independent study from the front office. All work is still to be completed and turned in when a student has been absent.
