Classroom Management
We use the Clip Chart in our classroom as a form of classroom management. This is not the focus of our classroom and we typically do not use it very often throughout the year. Each student has their name on a clothespin. As the day progresses, your child may be asked to move their clip down if they are not following our classroom rules. Students will generally remain on "ready to learn" which is great! We discuss classroom expectations and classroom rules on a daily basis. This includes role playing and how or when their choices can affect their learning. More importantly, how they can keep their classmates and themself safe! This is our #1 priority in the classroom! If a student reaches "parent contact" then parents will receive an email or note home which will discuss the rules they did not follow. We may discuss it with you after school if needed.
