History

Dear Parent(s)/ Guardian(s),

I am super excited to begin the 2023-2024 school year with the 7th and 8th grade students. I look forward to working with and getting to know your student(s) in order to deepen our relationship so they can achieve academic success. To ensure that we all have a successful year we will all (parent/guardian, student, & teacher) have to work together to make sure the needs of your student(s) are being met. This year I hope to create an environment built on trust and support that will allow me to help your student(s) overcome any challenges they may face. In our classroom your student(s) will make connections with historical events of the past and how they affect the present and the future. They will be able to analyze and explain problems of the past while being able to make informed decisions in the present. I look forward to embarking on this journey with your student(s).Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns. You can call me at the school, send me a written note with your student, or contact me via email.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Schmich

  • This means students must come with their materials and be attentive to instruction, following the directions and attempting to complete all assignments.

   2. Be respectful of everything in the room.

  •  Students should use classroom materials only when necessary and not waste any materials. Students must also listen to those who are talking and wait their turn to talk, they must not interrupt others and should not excessively wander the room and distract others.

    3. Be responsible for yourself, your actions,              and your belongings.

  • Students are responsible for what they do and say, and keeping track of the things they bring into the classroom. Your behavior is your choice and the consequences will reflect your actions. Do not eat food in the room, chew gum, or bring anything other than a reusable water bottle to drink from. Hands are kept to yourself at all times.

   4. Even if you don’t get it the first time, keep             trying.

  • Keep trying even when you mess up or make a mistake. We are all constantly learning. I am here to be a support system for everyone so come and ask for help if you need it!
